Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy is available in streaming and for download, starting from TODAY.
In a few days other distribution channels will be shared, so that everybody will be able to download the file from different channels.
The official subtitles, in several languages, are already available.
Philanthropy has been a challenge nearly impossible to complete, started three years ago. We didn’t imagine, then, all the troubles we would have been into and all the obduracy that we would need to complete the project.
By the way, we didn’t know, how much support we were going to find, how many friends we were going to meet, how many passionate and generous people were going to help us.
The release of “Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy” make an end of the first life history of Hive Division. The team, nearly a family now, is going to take some time to decide what’s happening next.
We do not really know when we’re going to produce the two sequels of Philanthropy (whose script was written together with “The Overnight Nation” in 2006).
This will depend on many factors: the reaction of our public, the future of professional Hive Division, who is looking for financial partners to realize our next projects and partners to become a real Production Studio, and, for sure, Konami’s reaction to the project.
We feel and hope that one day Snake, Elizabeth, and Pierre will complete their journey.
We are deeply grateful to all those who have been following the project, even during its “mysterious” phases when we were working so hard that we couldn’t update you as we would have liked to.
We happily put this movie in the hands of the Internet, the “primeval soup” in which our project was born and raised, to which we owe so much and which we hope to have provided with something meaningful.

you know ive always been extremely skeptical of a metal gear solid movie. after being a strong fan for such a long time, i was kind of upset hearing that Hollywood would make a movie i was sure that they would totally screw it up like so many movies based on video games. then i came across your rendition online. well to keep it short i was very impressed. you guys captured the feel of the series extremely well and for it being an independent movie i was really satisfied with it. good job guys i really really look forward to seeing a sequel sometime in the future it seems like it would make an awesome trilogy. i truly hope you guys can keep doing what you are because you’re doing it right.

Wow, I’ve just downloaded and watched this. I have to say as a MGS fan from an early age after playing MGS for the Playstation. You definitely have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this along with the passion of true fans while both staying true to the Metal Gear Solid universe and putting your own take on an alternate story.
I honestly wouldn’t believe there wasn’t a budget for this, it’s so professional and Hollywood material, I definitely can’t wait for the next chapters/parts. To all involved in “MGS: Philanthropy”, you have my deepest respect and admiration.

Vorrei congratularmi con tutti coloro che hanno partecipato alla realizzazione di questo film.
Devo essere onesto: prima di vederlo ho pensato si trattasse di una delle tante stupidaggini che circolano su internet, ma poi dopo averlo visto… cavolo, posso dire di aver sbavato!
Un lavoro eccezionale, non avevo mai visto una cosa di questo genere.
Sicuramente è molto meglio di tanta schifezza che gira oggi nei cinema. E poi, trattandosi di una produzione che non supera i 10.000 euro, bisogna veramente inchinarsi davanti al lavoro svolto.
Io sono un grande appassionato della saga di MGS e finalmente qualcuno ci ha pensato a fare un film su questo grande gioco, e poi che film!
So che proseguire il film costa enormi sacrifici, ma dove assolutamente farlo!
Se avessi i mezzi per finanziarvi, sicuramente lo farei, ma purtroppo vado ancora a scuola.
Spero che una qualche società, azienda o quello che sia vi adocchi e vi dia il necessario per continuare perchè siete proprio bravi.

Dopo aver visto con grande emozione il vostro film Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy sono rimasto davvero soddisfatto.
Ragazzi siete stati semplicemente grandi soprattutto per due motivi:
1- State dimostrando che se si vuole in Italia si può creare capolavori cinematografici degni di Hollywood. Se l’Italia volesse potrebbe uscire dalle proprie barrire mentali e creare dei film davvero spettacolari.
2- “Questo lo dico da fan della saga Metal Gear Solid”.
Avete portato in vita una delle migliori storie giocate su console progettata dalla mente geniale di Hideo Kojima; oltretutto siete stai bravissimi a creare una storia che a quanto penso si collochi in mezzo tra Metal Gear Solid e Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty.
Davvero una storia ben creata, ottimi i dialoghi, ottima la pronuncia e per il budget a disposizione sono rimasto colpito degli effetti speciali ma sopratutto dalla creazione dei Metal Gear!!!
Volevo dire che sono rimasto colpito sopratutto dalla scena di sparatoria quando uno dei soldati viene colpito e sta urlando dal dolore, li si coglie benissimo il messaggio di cosa voglia dire fare la guerra che si percepisce sopratutto dagli sguardi dei personaggi . Il tema della guerra che nella saga è sempre stato commentato e il tema di “cosa si prova snake quando si uccide una persona?” trova qui in questa scena la risposta semplicemente come dicevo prima dagli sguradi dei personaggi.
Ragazzi non vedo davvero l’ora di vedere il continuo di questa storia sperando in vicende più complesse! Sapete mi ero sempre chiesto se avesso fatto un film di MGS ed eccolo qui ! Creato da ragazzi italiani con grande passione!Vi do un grande saluto e vi auguro un i bocca la lupo per il continuo di Metal Gear Solid Philathropy e catturandoi altri milioni e milioni di fan di questa gioco semlicemente colossale!!!! I think it’s been said a million times over, but the Hollywood rendition of a Metal Gear movie will pale in comparison to this film. When you have a collection of people who are actually fans of the series and put them on a project like this with all the heart and effect that was put into Philanthropy, you can’t duplicate something like that when the sole purpose is to generate revenue. If I was wearing a hat, it’d go off to each and every one of you involved in the project. I truly do hope that after you realize the (near) future of Hive Division you guys complete your work. Hideo has such a complicating mind, as close to a media genious as I’d ever become aware of. As much as he loves his baby Snake, I’d have to believe he’d greatly appreciate this effort.
Good luck to you guys in all your endeavors. I’m definitely looking forward to a conclusion to Philanthropy.

Actors are goods, voices are okay and the realisation is perfect. You respected the universe of Kojima-san and I’m sure he would be very honored by what you made.
It’s a glorious tribute to the saga.
2D and 3D effects were impressives. I don’t know if you are professionnals but we can feel your passion and it’s pleasant to watch.

voglio farvi i miei più sentiti complimenti. avete realizzato il sogno di migliaia di persone: un film su metal gear solid. ammetto che prima di guardarlo ero scettico, non trovando un cast holliwoodiano. in effetti oggigiorno è difficile trovare film ben fatti senza sceneggiatori, attori e registi famosi e invece ammetto di essermi alquanto stupito dopo averlo visto. è incredibile ciò che siete riusciti a fare solamente per passione e con un fondo così limitato. un lungometraggio degno di nota. ancora complimenti per questo lavorone incredibile e soprattutto un sentito GRAZIE per aver reso questo film disponibile al pubblico evitando così il pagamento o la visione illegale di esso.

I’ve already downloaded this to my portable hard drive and seen it on my TV in full surround sound like three times. I believe you guys did an amazing job with the movie, honestly it looks and feels authentic, I’m pretty sure if you showed this as a pilot for a mini series or TV series here in the states it would more than likely get picked up. And honestly the plot is very much in the vein of the Metal Gear series and probably better than whatever Sony Studios can muster up with their Christian Bale hollywood version or whatever. Watching this with my friends (also big fans) made us discuss why the hell don’t fans contribute more to video game based movies, comic book movies and novel based movies. Seriously, you guys kicked so much ass and I want to thank you for putting this out there. I’ve been a huge fan of Metal Gear since I was a kid watching my dad play Metal Gear on Nintendo and finally when I was in high school I got my own memories playing the first Metal Gear Solid. This film adds to my fond memories of Metal Gear throughout the years… Only one problem guys… I WANT MORE!!!

E’ veramente impressionante cio’ che la passione,l’immaginazione e l’impegno di un gruppo possano produrre…
E dire che sia stato creato senza budget e dalla sola dedizione di un gruppo di fan del Metal Gear Solid….se penso a quanti film trash vengono spacciati per capolavori e diffusi dalle grosse produzioni nelle sale cinematografiche o in TV solo perche’ parte di quel capitale investito e’ in marketing…poi vedi un film cosi’ e rimani stupito pensando che tutto cio’ non possa essere frutto di un progetto no-profit!!!
Tanto per cominciare la storia ha un’ambientazione storico/geopolitica in pieno stile MGS, il che rende la trama appassionante e molto coerente con l’antefatto gioco, l’intreccio e’ intrigante e lascia tutto lo spazio alla dovuta suspence…(ogni volta che cambia l’inquadratura sembra di avere appena passato un livello di gioco, dunque e’ percepibilissima la consueta scarica di adrelina seguita dal compiacimento tipico di aver appena passato il tanto agognato livello!!). =)
Anche la sceneggiatura e’ di ottimo livello, fa scorrere la storia in maniera fluida e senza troppi intoppi, evitando di annoiare lo spettatore…per non parlare poi dei personaggi principali: Snake ben interpreta la parte dello sporco figlio di puttana quale e’, Pierre e’ il vero plus valore del film, conferendo colore ed ironia al punto giusto (bisognera’ pur sdrammatizzare talvota,no???) e la ragazza e’ semplicemente il collante tra i vari personaggi, il punto di equilibrio che amalgama perfettamente la squadra.
Se poi ci mettiamo che il film e’ degnamente supportato da effetti grafici di tutto rispetto,musicato in maniera coerente e doppiato impeccabilmente….per me il film cosi’ come e’, risulta gia’ pronto per la televisione, da vero prodotto professionale.
Sono sicuro che presto sentiremo parlare di questo film, del suo seguito e di Hive Division.
Siete veramente una gran bella crew che ha prodotto un piccolo capolavoro nel suo genere!!!!

This was a very well done movie, voice, actors, everything, I really enjoyed watching this, it really felt like it was part of the metal gear canon, the codec was awesome, the sound, music, everithing was just perfent. I think that if hollywood makes a metal gear movie it wont be as true to the game as this movie is. I hope you guys make part 2 and 3.

A fan-made movie with no budget and no intention of making a profit? At first I thought of this as a damn near the verge of lunacy. However, now upon witnessing this simply astounding film you have created, I think of you more like true heroes.
I cannot imagine the hardships you all must have endured, the time & effort this required. Wow, I was really sceptical when i heard a fan made mgs movie was out but you’ve pulled it off. For years I wanted someone to take on the challenge of trying to make a mgs film, and when i heard that hideo was talking to hollywood about one my heart sank, someone like christian bale as snake? let alone the fact that hollywood always screws up films adapted from games.
What you have managed to pull off way supparsess anything hollywood has ever done with a game, a great story, cgi which is better than alot ive seen on the big screen, and you’ve kept the feel of the game. You are proof of the fact that indapendant films are the best.
As far as funding and support for part 2 and 3 goes, you should enter part 1 into as many film festivals as possible, this is good enougth for the big screen it should win some of them, this will mean the right people see it and you get prize money for doing well (funds for 2 and 3).

Overall, it was very well done. The camera work was incredible, the shots were very very well done. The soundtrack and audio were also superb. I’m not sure what the actor’s name who portrayed snake but his voice was dead on. My only criticism is that sometimes the acting was only mediocre. There were parts where everything worked perfectly; the actors played their role, the script was flawless, the effects all tied in but then there were also moments where it feel apart. So I know everyone is very capable of playing their roles. But again, I must say that it was very well done and I’m definitely looking forward to the two sequels!! Best of luck to everyone on the Hive Division Crew.

I heard of this movie a year or two back, and i thought it sounded interesting already then.
I’ve forgotten all about the project (sadly, but it’s true) until i found your video up and runnin, so i decided to take a shot and look at it.
Being a MGS fan as i am, i must say i was positively suprised by this movie, it kept most of the aspects from the MGS series, the action, the occasional comic relief etc. I even enjoyed the cast you put in, i thought it was just great and i’ve seen the movie a couple of times since then just cause it was such a pleasure to watch.
i hope Kojima Productons will give you some reactions towards this and that you’ll decide to make the sequals.

watched it with my brother last night. AWESOME!!! This is better than most game to movie translation, even the hollywood production one. The narcissistic Mr. Talamini (for taking snake’s role as a director) and Hive division crew really-really doing a great job. The camera angle, tense building, animation, characterization, and many other elements really make us nostalgic, as if we are watching Kojima’s works. All of you must be really look up to him and love MGS more than we do. We thank you all for this. Please continue the next two parts. Looking forward to it.

I loved every part of it, the story seems coherent so far (even though you guys still need to do the sequels, and by the way, you should really do them if possible), and , well, not many movies usually are that good. Great job, can’t wait for the sequels

I am a big fan of MGS too, for 10 years now. When i found MGS Philanthropy i was a bit sceptical, and would have been even if it was a big screen release, but this turned out to be mind blowing. I allways wanted to see a MGS Movie. Now it’s like a dream come true.
You guys rock and i hope all goes well and you will release part 2 and 3 in the near future.

I’m a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid saga and to be honest i was sceptical about this movie, but when I watched it apsolutely blowed my mind. It was amazing! I really hope you’ll make the 2nd part. Hollywood should me ashamed of some movie they make in comparison to this one. Good job!

Hello, and yes the movie is great, and wow, and yes indeed, if you do get a response by Konami and Hideo Kojima, and they love it, you bet your hard work on the sequels will be done in no time!, even you get a good response by real movie studios, then you will get the next sequels done by next year. but if not, if you dont get no responses by anyone, i know the sequels will be done, i know it will take about 2 years or so… but i do hope you get a response by Hideo Kojima and Konami!!!!!!!

I’m a big fan of the MG games, and I must say, you guys have done the series justice. I hope that there will be a Part 2 and a Part 3.
Honestly, this movie was amazing. You guys did an amazing job, and it is better than some films that have had a much larger budget than this. I wonder, has Kojima seen this yet? I think he would be proud of it and very happy.

This was a great film, and I’m glad I saw it. There are so many movie trailers let alone films I’ve paid $10 to see in theatres that I’ve cursed for having made me waste minutes of my life, but this was different. Be proud of what you created, and I’m hoping Konami legal, and fans alike will respond favorably. I have no doubt that Kojima is pleased, and flattered. Best of luck in ironing out the details, and I hope Hive as a collective finds a directive to keep your new foster family together and productive.

Well, the movie was great. No question about that… But a “To be continued” at the end? That just felt like a big Middle Finger to me. There was no clue that it was going to be a two (let alone three) parter, and after 5 years…
I am not looking forward to the next one, mainly because if this is what you can turn out in 5 years (it is good, but still) the other will obliviously not be AS good. I respect you as Indy Film makers… but three parts? Dang…

I have been looking forward for the release of the movie for quite a long time, i liked a lot, you did an explendid job and you people should be very proud of it.
I think a lot of people (including me of course) are looking forward for the next chapter of the saga, i know it have been dificult, but you cannot stop now, if you do you will regret it and also will make unhappy a lot of people who have been following you since a long time.

Guys I tell you what. I sat here and downloaded Philanthropy and I started watching it thinking this was gonna be lame but okay I got an hour to waste. I am so sorry I ever thought that. This was truely an amazing movie. I sat and watched it from begining to end twice. After the first run I said wait a minute that can’t be that good…it’s a fan movie so I watched it again to make sure I wasn’t imagining what I had seen…lol. I was speechless.
Next time by buddies are over I’m gonna put this on and see if they have the same reaction. It was amazing and I hope everything turns out right for Hive Division because that was better than most of the TV shows I’ve seen or movies I’ve been to in awhile.
Great job and anxiously awaiting any news…hopefully good news about a sequel.

It’s a pity you guys don’t add the sound effect of the trailer movie on your released movie (i mean sound effect like when inside of the old factory or some kind of that, there’s a voice of a girl, not the narrator one, but the voice like in the supermarket(i don’t know what’s cold in english). And i think the trailer one is really cool..)

What a great movie!
I really enjoyed watching it, some things where really breath taking! I would have liked to see more of Otacon, but besides that the whole movie is awesome! The little “easter egg” detail showing “Mesal Gear” was just hillarious! The moment we see that strange guy with no face is really suspensful, and how to forget the moment in which Snake fights against that Metal Gear! Simply wow… I really hope you guys can make the sequels, I would absoulutley see them, even pay to do so (of course, I know you can’t make any money out of this, but I’m just saying). I don’t think Kojima would say no, and Konami for that matter; I will have my fingers crossed for you guys! By the way, haven’t you thought of having an IMDB page? It will definetly be the most highly rated fan movie!

I’ve been waiting for this film ever since I saw the first trailer, and I have to say…I wasn’t dissapointed
I thought this film was excellent, very tastefully done and well written. I love the fact that you can tell this film was made by people who know their metal gear solid too.
I really hope that the sequels will eventually be made because I found myself getting really drawn into the characters and the story!

Well I just finished watching your movie. And I have to say I never expected it to be this good.
That’s what making movies is about. We all see big productions where millions are spent and you guys just proved that it is possible to make quality films that are not that expensive… And the most important part – you made it just the way it is supposed to be. The way Snake behaves, the talking, expressions… It felt nostalgic. Remembered me when I played MGS games.
I really loved the sounds. There are certain parts, for example,when they are walking just after entering the sewers, the sound of walking over metal it’s just like the game.
Seriously I don’t have words to express my gratitude to you.
Just have to congratulate you all for the job and I’ll be expecting more.

I cant believe how good part on truly was. When my brother told me he had a copy of a fan made Metal Gear movie that I had no knowledge about, I though that maybe it would end up being something similar to the Legends of Zelda movie spoof IGN did a while back for April fools, or possibly even a half hearted production. I never imagined the level of detail you guys would put into every aspect of this film. It was everything a fan could ever have hoped for.
The story was simply put, beyond words. The fact that you had Fox Hound like crazies in there, especially the Undertaker like Gear rider, took my breath away and made me so giddy I couldnt help myself. Your actors (voice acting included) are better than most television stars I know, and this whole production was worthy of anything that has ever come out of a Sci Fi channel original.
Kudos to everyone involved. I hope this gets recognized and you guys are able to get your studio off the ground. You guys deserve it. Please, please, dont let us wait too terribly long for these other parts, for you have two dedicated fans with me and my brother, and Im sure Ill be making an understatement here by saying you have more than a few more fans than just us. Good luck securing those donations and getting the rest of this glorious saga out there. May whatever gods you pray to be with you and bring you luck.

I liked the movie. I thought it was kool. To me, a movie, a book or a video game is really good if I feel immersed into it and I felt immersed into the Philanthropy world. It felt like I was following Snake, Pierre and Elizabeth. Good job, and I hope the sequels will be made!

Philanthropy is a worthy tribute to Metal Gear and an awesome movie on its own right. I can’t count the number of times I thought “oh my god that is so cool” while I was watching it. It’s obvious you put a lot of effort into it and it shows. Great job.
